Corrib RFC Welcomes First Female President for 2025/26

Corrib RFC proudly announces the election of its Executive Committee for the 2025/26 season, following our Annual General Meeting held at The Anglers Rest Hotel on Wednesday, 25th July.

A historic moment for the club, this year sees the appointment of Jacinta Sweeney as Club President, becoming the first woman to hold the role since the club’s founding in 1981.

Jacinta has been a dedicated contributor to Corrib RFC across many roles, and her election marks a significant and proud milestone for our club community. Over the past number of seasons, she has spearheaded consistent growth in our Minis section, building the foundations for the future of the club. She has also served as Vice President for the past two years, offering steady leadership and vision across the broader club.

She succeeds Eugene Kenny, whose term was defined by growth, stability and passion for club development. We thank Eugene for his leadership and tireless support, and we look forward to his continued input as Immediate Past President.
