Hi,

Corrib Rugby will be running a GIAT programme again this summer, starting the end of July, early August.

GIAT (Give It A Try) is an 8-week programme where girls aged 8-14 years can attend in order to learn how to play rugby in a fun environment.

Corrib Rugby ran the most successful GIAT program in Ireland in 2019, not just in Connacht, and the IRFU did a video feature on us - https://www.irishrugby.ie/video/give-it-a-try-case-study-corrib-rfc/.

One of the main reasons we were so successful in 2019 was due to the Corrib marketing strategy which involved an expansive poster and social media campaign in parallel with visits and presentations to schools. Unfortunately this time around we won't get to visit the schools and therefore we will have to rely on our poster and social media marketing. It is to this end that we plan to develop two videos. One which will be sent out to the schools and one for social media only.

As part of our plans for the videos we are hoping that we can record as many of our current girl players as possible saying a very simple message "My Name is ........ and I am a Corrib Rugby Player, Why don't you Give It A Try."

If you are happy to allow Corrib Rugby to use your female rugby star in our video we would appreciate it if you could record a Portrait Video of your star and Whatsapp it Oonagh Naughton on 087 261 9683.

As the schools will be closing in a few weeks and we will need some time to put together the videos we would ask that you get your video to us by next Saturday 5th June.

Sincere regards

Oonagh and the GIAT Coaches.
